The House MD TV Show revolves around Gregory House who is an anti-social medical doctor with only half a muscle in his left leg. Dr. House M.D. has the job of curing the very ill and out of the ordinary cases that come into the Princeton‑Plainsboro Teaching Hospital in New Jersey.

House MD has been a runaway hit for Fox and Hugh Laurie’s acting career. It has been in the top ten rated shows in the United States for several seasons. Aside from the popular viewship ratings, the success has also translated into awards. House has been nominated for six Golden Globe Awards and won two. Leading actor and star Hugh Laurie has been nominated for the Golden Globe Award four times and win in 2006 and 2007. Producer David Shore won a writing Emmy in 2005 and Humanities Prize in 2006.
